Snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef.. The Barracuda

On the second dive site, to the North of Hastings reef we were on the deck putting on our fins and googles, when a member of the crew said " There was a reef shark just by the boat, but I think he's been scared off, a barracuda is swimming around though I think." So we dived into the water, I was taking photographs of the brightly coloured fish surrounding the boat when Jamie nudged me, pointing out in the other direction and gestured to take a photo. I then saw the barracuda in the distance... a few photographs later he got way to close and we swam off as quickly as we could!
So heres a few final photographs from the dive.

This little fish was one of my favourites - always swimming alone.

                          The Barracuda!
